Blog writing: a step in trust

Blogs. Everybody seems to have one. I even have one, and have for a year now. Yet it is slow in coming. I want to write, I love to write! But blogging is different from newspaper, newsletter, or other published type writing I've discovered. With this I delete most everything I write. So only a few posts. I have lots of writing I could put on it. Yeah, writing I slaved over for hours to perfect every inch. For me to have a blog is a stretch because I feel the need to have everything be perfect or nearly so before I will put it out there. So nothing gets out there.

But I keep thinking something I have gone through may help someone else so I hold onto this blog idea. I just can't seem to let loose to do it, really do it with my heart in it. You know what I mean? Lord, help me to just relax and not worry! My homework for the Battlefield of the Mind study group this week is- "Don't worry, trust God". I am working on it, and recalling the words a few times a day now, then I let out my breath and say, "oh, yeah, Lord, I don't need to hold onto this. I can trust You. I decide now to trust You. "

Okay, I am deciding to quit worrying and trust God about what I write on this blog and the need for it to be "perfect", because it isn't ever going to be. And that is okay. Hey, I think I am getting somewhere. Why am I blogging? To encourage those who may be discouraged, depressed, or maybe struggling in some area maybe with illness, or any a number of plights common to us all...like my perfect blog expectations. Today- don't worry, trust God, because He can handle what you and I can't. Especially little things like blogging.
